Recent Allegro All Inclusive Review: "With slides and pools that are fun for all ages from toddler to ancianos, Holiday Village is the most family oriented of all the resorts here in the DR. We discovered this place for the first time a year ago and have been back now three more times. When the family is happy, nothing else matters. We cannot wait to save up and head back! We have been to others here in the country, and for the whole family, they simply do not compare."

    On the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, Puerto Plata is between the international airport to the east and the marina at Ocean World to the west. An aerial tram takes visitors to the top of a mountain within the city, where there is a replica statue of Christ the Redeemer. The Fortaleza San Felipe, built in the 16th century to protect the port from pirates, now houses a museum.
