Besides a slate of water sports such as snorkeling, windsurfing, and kayaking, guests can try out scuba diving with an introductory lesson in the pool, play tennis on one of two clay courts, or work out in the fitness room (renovated August 2008).

Motorized water sports, available for surcharges, include: Jet skiing, water skiing, banana boats, parasailing, and scuba diving. Horseback riding and fishing can be enjoyed two km (1.5 miles) away.

Mexican - With both indoor and outdoor seating, this Tex-Mex restaurant serves daytime snacks and an à la carte dinner. Seating depends on availability. Dress code: Long pants and sleeved shirts for men. Includes the Nautilus Bar. Reservation required.

Sosua is a small town on the North Coast of the Dominican Republic, about 10 minutes from the international airport. The town has a tourist area and a residential area that are separated by the main public beach. During World War II, Sosua welcomed a number of Jewish refugees from Germany and Austria. Today, the town has a small synagogue and is popular with European tourists and expatriates.

Kidz Paradise offers kids ages four to 12 their own pool, playground and supervised activities while parents have fun in the sun or visit the Be Relax Spa for a massage. As the sun sets, the hotel offers evening dancing and theatrical shows.

The resort's dining options include El Cayuco, serving international fare buffet-style with themed dinners each evening. Above the Tubano Bar, the Gourmet Caribbean is not part of the all-inclusive plan but offers all-you-can-eat dinners at a modest price.
